Re: how to take out wiper motors?
Our trucks only have one motor. The mechanism is composed of rods and connections.

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
Your serious? Will it pass inspection with out wipers?
Even if you don't have state inspection to worry about, this is not a very safe modification. Please don't tell me you don't need wipers because you plan to use Rain-X

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
Ken is right. Even if you use Rain-X you still need wipers when you are driving around under 30 mph.

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
i forgot about the inspection part, i may need to keep them on until then
well i plan on this one to be strictly a show truck, not getting out when its wet or any chance of rain. plus i think it will look smoother without them, still deciding 100% whether or not to shave them or not

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
well i seen a truck in a Sport Truck mag a few months back that was i think a 70 or 72, that was completely shaved, including the wipers and it looked amazing, thus got me thinking

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
Sorry bro, but this is one mod I would pass on. If you "ever" plan to drive it and it gets caught in the rain you pose a safety hazard.

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
j.r...while i'll agree it's not a "safe" mod.it is a cool one.i did it.mine isn't driven in the rain, although i have been caught and lived to tell about it.countless cars and trucks in hotrod magazines don't have wipers.if yours is a daily driver i wouldn't do it.otherwise, try it.you can put it all back on in a few minutes.here's an old pic that shows lack of wipers.sorry about no pic,i can't find the mange attachments tab.just check my alblum for pics.

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
Looks slick without them but as the other guys mentioned you will need them at least once a year for inspection purposes.

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
you can use a small universal wiper motor and modify it to fit in the cowl area

Re: how to take out wiper motors?
I have seen guys take there wipers off for shows and put covers on the wiper shafts that stick up. I have seen them painted and milled aluminum as well.
