79 crew cab dually 4x4 i just bought

hey i just bought this 79 crew cab 4x4 dually. going to convert it to 1/2 ton runing gear so it be cheaper to use it as a dd. it had a flat bed put on it later in life it is close to be rust free. thanks for all the help

I honestly don't see what there is to gain by converting a 4x4 dually to a 1/2 ton?

2nd, do you mind explaining more how spending money to switch it to a 1/2 ton will be cheaper to use?

You could sell that front axle and pay for the entire swap,but honestly,I would NOT trade a D60 front axle for a 1/2t axle swap. You have 1 hell of truck the way it is. JMO
