door weatherstrip replacement

I'm replacing all of the rotten trim on the doors on my 69 C10 long bed - door/cab weatherstrip, all pieces around windows on door - do i need to remove the window? if so, do I need to remove the vent in order to get the window glass out? (I found the FAQ on regulator replacement)

Re: door weatherstrip replacement

That information is good but it really don,t cover all the problems you run into on the re-install, Yeaterday we ran into all kinds of problems. First the trim that goes against the window that has felt on one side and like a wiper on the other side is too long and had to be trimed, Someone posted info for me that the rear track has to be taken lose for the re-install. But that has not be tried yet but I'll let you know.
