Front driveline noise with hubs locked at 55-60mph
On my 91 Burb that I just got the 4x4 working (auto hubs were blown from the previous owner and the driveshaft was missing...)
I am noticing noise and vibration at speeds over 50mph with the hubs locked and txfer case in 2h. Is this normal due to age or the fact is a solid axle or should I get the front diff checked for damage from the previous owner? Maybe thats why the driveshaft was missing in the first place...

I would disconnect the draveshaft and get the diff checked ASAP. Front ends locking up at speed is not fun.

x2,check it asap.
First thought through my head is why was the drive shaft missing and both hubs cooked. Seen a lot of trucks for sale with (missing FT drive shaft) that end up having diff problems once you put a shaft in. Let us know what you find.
