Whats a fair price for this truck?

I think going to go look at this truck Saturday and was wondering you think I should give for it. Its a 1955 chevy 6400, 6 cylinder, 4 on the floor, 2 speed rear end. He said "everything works" we'll see. Its near san antonio so it shouldn't have much rust. This is the only picture i have. Thanks guys

OK well someone informed me that im am not supposed to post a for sale ad or anything like one because im not a paid supporter so im asking any moderators If im allowed to do this. Im not meaning to break any rules, I just thought that the purpose of this site was for people to help one another out and i guess we cant if we are not allowed to. If I am breaking rules just let me know and i will delete everything in my post or yall can delete this thread, no problems.

Re: Whats a fair price for this truck?

I bought a 1957 6400 grain truck about a year ago. It has original paint, solid as a rock.14 ft pto driven dump bed tires were shot. Runs good and also has the original oak grain bed. I bought it for $800 with a clear ,open title.
There are TONS of those old grain trucks around here and most of them were kept in a shed and used very little ,so they are in excellant shape.
Personally ,if the truck runs good I wouldn't give him more than $750.
I just bought mine for the cab and motor and scrapped the rest.-KB

Re: Whats a fair price for this truck?

you can post a WIW (what's it worth) ad if you are looking to buy something. They don't want WIW's if you are attempting to sell on the board and not a paid subscriber, you're ok with the post...

good luck on the purchase

Re: Whats a fair price for this truck?

I got my 2 ton '57 for $400 delivered 30 miles. Had a rod in the oil pan but all I wanted was the sheet metal. The one pictured looks to be in better shape so I'd pay a little more.
