I was wondering if you can clean them up to look good or can you paint them. Whats the best cleaner to use on the plastic? If paint what kind of paint? Thanks Randy

HEHEH I just posted the same thing on the paint and body board the other day because I want to paint my plastic door panels.

I used plasticoat dye on my 72 doorpanals they are in good shape,and they go in my ton truck,which I do use,and I have had no peeling at all,I put 4 coats of it on,and I use it almost every other day,so I would imagine if it was going to peel or come off it would have allready

forgot,do not use spray paint,make sure it is a dye.

I just used Duplicolor that matched my truck, been on there more than a year now with no problems. I just washed them with Dawn dish soap first.

go to the parts store and look around where the spray paint is and you'll find it ,also I used starting fluid to clean mine after I washed them,and it helps for the dye to stick better in my opinion,if you have never used dye,I will say it is very thin,and it will act like it is going to fish eye,but it will dry smooth and uniform,but put at least 3 coats on it about 1 can per panal if you are doing the back to.
