my dad made my day today, maybe my whole month

Well, the object of my desire (the truck in the pic, a 67 K-20) has been sitting on the hill rotting away for about 8 years because the starter went south. I've tried everything short of offering way more than the truck is worth to get it bought from him......he's gonna do something with it someday.....He came over today and said he finally put a starter on the old pickup and got it running.....just dumped a little gas in the carb and tossed an old battery in it and took it for a drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........I got to drive it again.......WOW what a feeling......I love that beat up old turd. He still doesn't know what he's gonna do with it, but is talking about finally parting with it. I told him it won't get far from home, if I have to hock every vehicle I own, it's comming home with me. He is gonna ditch the feed box and put a flatbed on it, like God intended for it to be........he may even put the hoist back under the bed......it came with an electric/hydraulic hoist under the box when he bought it 25 years ago. I doubt I get any sleep tonight.

dont let him

Whatever you do, dont let him drive it after you have it fixed up and running on all 8. He wont be able to let go, again! Love them flatbeds....
