Pleasee help!!!!!!
MY granddaughter decided to insert a credit card into the cd player in her mom's Intrepid. The unit has a cd and cassette combo if that matters. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it out without taking everything apart?

Re: Pleasee help!!!!!!
Maybe try a paperclip or similar gauge solid wire to try to "hook" the card out?

Re: Pleasee help!!!!!!
get a thin metal straightedge or something like it(maybe a butter knife) and stick double stick tape on the end.
slide it in there, press against the CC and pull, - voila out comes the CC!! (ask me how I know this) DOH!

Re: Pleasee help!!!!!!
don't turn it on though, if the laser eye bumps into it then you could have problems with it reading discs later.

Re: Pleasee help!!!!!!
After a lot of thought last night. (I know sounds dangerous), I have decided to try the straight edge and tape thing. I have a metal ruler that is really thin. I'm gonna try to get some tape on both sides of it and see if I can fish it out. The opening is really narrow. Thanks for all the ideas. I will let ya know how it works.

Re: Pleasee help!!!!!!
Update. Had to take it apart. Friend helped me take the molding from the dash. I did the rest. Easy job with 8 screws, pulling the radio out part way and taking the face plate off. Putting the trim molding back on was the trick. I seen them at work hit them with their fist and that is what it took just in the right place and right angle. Cross your fingers and hope it doesn't break. Thanks for all the ideas.

Re: Pleasee help!!!!!!
next time invest in a set of "pick tools" they are kind of like what a dentist uses but they sell a set of 6 at autozone for like 8bucks and you will find them useful for your situation and taking broken off keys in locks out dash board plastic pannels all kinds off stuff i use them alot in the audio industrie they are cheap and have helped out in alot of jams
