Dumb PS conversion question
I am converting my 70 C10 Sub to power steering and have been gathering the parts. I have been under the assumption that like my 66 C10, I will have to cut down the steering shaft somewhat as the PS box is longer. However, in previous posts on the subject it's never mentioned when doing 67-72 conversions. On the 68-72 trucks, is the steering shaft the same length for either box?

Re: Dumb PS conversion question
Your Suburban will have an intermediate shaft between the column and the box. Just bolt the new PS box in place with an appropriate rag joint for a PS truck. No mods are required at all to the column or shaft.
