62 drop spindles ??

are there drop spindles to fit a 62 truck but still retain the front drum brakes availiable?? as i dont want the cost of changing to disks at this time

Not that I'm aware of....I've stared at a few catalogs over the years and never seen any. If you're lowering, you're converting at the same time I guess.

Yeah your best bet would be to do a front suspension swap, then you get disc, way cheaper ball joints and drop spindles that are easier to find. Works out all the way around

what year suspension and staying with 6 stud is best suited ??

I think they make 6 lug rotors for 73-87... ill have to check around or maybe one of these good fellows will chime in with the correct info.

I think i remember seeing a kit from somewhere though..

If you want to stay with 6 lug wheels, there are 2 ways to do it. You can buy aftermarket 6 lug rotors to fit the '73-'87 spindles, or you can do it with OEM parts. Check out this thread for some more info on this.
