Bolt on Exhaust Help
I need some help with my hooker exhaust system. I purchased the hooker 2 1/4" exhaust kit through Jeggs(took two months to ship!) My headers dump to a 3 1/2" opening and my new pipe that connects to the header is 3". Is there an adaptor I can purchase in order to step up or do I need to purchase two new pipes with a 3 1/2" opening? wondering if anyone has had the same problem. thanks for any suggestions

Re: Bolt on Exhaust Help
Check out jegs or summit for hooker headers reducers #11032hka about $32.00 or at a local part store or exhaust shop.

Re: Bolt on Exhaust Help
thanks....first time on exhaust work. I would think that i would cut the flanged section off of the new pipe and slip that into the reducer and use a clamp?

Re: Bolt on Exhaust Help
Dont cut the flange off. Take it to a muffler shop. Mainly a little mom and pop shop. Show them what you got and they will set you up with what you need. Usually pretty cheap too. I got a set of pipes made with flanges and plate for under 20 bucks about 3 months ago.
