Raked!!
hey all i had to remove my rear flip kit. i dont have a c notch and it just kept bottoming out all the time which was very annoying. So, i left the front alone and the rear is now stock height. looks very funny but pretty mean from the front. rides great now bery smooth and feels much safer.. plans are to put in some shackles in the rear and im trying to find some free stock springs so i can cut one coil off instead of the 2.5 thats been done on mine now and then i should have the stance and ride i want. pictures to come tommorow....

Re: Raked!!
how much room did you have between the axle and frame with the flip kit in there?

Re: Raked!!
So,...
You loved it lowered and now you don't? Wouldn't a c-notch been easier?

Re: Raked!!
You should have your pcv hooked up. It will help your oil and engine live longer.

Re: Raked!!
like i stated the truck bottomed out everywhere i went. this is a daily driver and the families sole means of transportation since our 92 chevys transmission went out. i cannot just rip it apart and do a c notch it isnt that easy plus i dont have the money to work on it. it has air shocks on the back that leak, so about every 6 hours the rear end was out of air and the axle would ride about 1 inch from the frame rails and of course, it would hit on the smallest of bumps. this had to be done for safety and for comfort. and while all of you guys have your 4/6 drops mine is different, which i like and im probably still lower in front that most of you here on a static drop.
as for the pcv valve, im going to get some hose today for that. but, what if i run a set of non vented valve covers? how will i be hurting the engine then? |
