so currently there is no wood bed kit in the bed right now and the weather is getting crappy so there it would be pretty dumb to slap some fresh out in there until summer time atleast i was wondering what i could do in order to get the bed back on the truck ??? shoot me some ideas of what you guys have in mind seen done or have had done thanks alot...

If you're just wanting to have something to make a bed floor for winter, then I'd say put a piece of plywood down. Easy to take back out if/when you want to put the correct planks back in.

As a temporary bed floor for my lwb stepper I put a piece of 3/4 in plywood down with a rubber mat over it.

It works for now.

For my 69 truck, No buck, I took a piece of 3/4" pressure treated plywood and cut it into the appropriate sized strips and used 1-1/2 wide flat bar strips to hold it down with.

So far it's holding up good.

but if i did do so what would be the best way to mount the plywood???
i dont really want to use the strips or take the time to cut them in strips id just like it plywood all the way through... and if i did do this how would i have to mount it threw the original holes or could i get away with just four main bolts for now in each corner of the bed???

I'd be inclined to do three sets of three. Three across the front, three across the middle, and three across the back. I'd use 5/16 with big washers on the top. That oughta do it for a temp. set up.
