Looking to replace the horns in my 69. They work, I just want something that sounds better. When I was young, we went with Caddy horns from the 50's, and I'm sure they're not easy to get now. Anyone out there done a horn transplant recently?

I don't know about Caddy horns, but I've always been a big fan of air horns.

you should be able to find lpts of caddy horns...wrecking yards here in Portland have many junk diesel caddys....I like the sound of the 3 horn set-up used by Cad........Jim

i like my dixie horns they will get your atten.

I use a set of dual note horns from the 73-87 trucks. They make plenty of noise. I even have a set on the Nissan!

The horn in my 01 GMC is loud and sounds good IMO. Go to a dealership and push one...LOL

Go to a dealership and push one...LOL __________________ 1971 C10 Stepside. LSx 6.0 with BTR Stage IV, Speed Engineering Headers, 4L80e transmission w/3200 Circle-D Stall. 3.73. Posi. Purchased this truck when I was 17. I started the rebuild (or take apart) in 1993. I have drug it around all over the country in pieces. Finally back on the road in 2021. "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do. Life's been good to me so far."
