Ball Joint Dust Boots? where to get them..
i've looked everywhere for them and i can't find anyone that sells the replacement boots without the entire ball joint. i'm in the process of putting my lowering spindles on and found a couple tears in the lower boots, so i figured now is the time to replace them.... The ball joints themselves are not that old, and besides i don't have the extra $$ at the moment to buy new ball joints that run like $40 a piece...
I know drop spindles are very common, so there has to be someone who has run into this problem before

VIP might be regional....duh moment
yeah I'm thinking you're S.O.L. once the boot gets compressed there isn't much that can get past the tears, put the grease to 'em and call it good

Buy a new pair of ball joints from autozone keep the dust boots and return the ball joints. The idiots they have behind the counter won't notice. It may be wrong, but so is selling crap parts.

my only other idea was to take the boots off, clean the out side surface, and fill the cracks with some sealant. i have no idea if it'll work, but i guess it's better than nothing...

Re: Ball Joint Dust Boots? where to get them..
Someone has taken this apart with a "pickle-fork" some time in it's life....which is fine, if you are replacing the ball-joints, not so much if you are just taking it apart to replace springs or spindles.
Everybody step away from the pickle-fork.....it bites.
