Vent spring
Isn't there a spring that goes from the vent flap to the cowl frame? IF so does anyone have a pic or know how long it is?

Just checked mine, I do not have that piece at the bottom of my cowl tray you show in the pic. I assume you have A/C, I do not, you didn't say. The only vents I have are inside the cab on the kick panels. Maybe someone with A/C can chime in.

I dont have ac?? I assume you do have ac as my cabs do not have that piece..

honestly the vacume actuator has enough of a spring inside you really dont have to worrie about it... at least mine didnt need one, i just replaced the actuator like two hours ago, $48 bucks owtch

Thanks for the help guys, I took some measurements and it looked real close to a carb linkage spring and wasn't to strong. Going to give that a try and see, thanks again.
