FS '67 Power assist.

Power assist from 1967, C10 Custom. Pump, hoses, cylinder, cylinder mount brackets, hose brackets. I have everything from steering box to idler arm; I saved everything I could nuts, bolts and washers. The engine was not in the truck when I got it but, I was told it was a 327 the truck did however, have the correct 64 – 67, 400 turbo. $150.00 plus shipping or best offer, I will trade, what you got?

Please reply in this thread to reduce confusion and maintain the integrity of this forum.

I’m headed to “grandmother’s house” for Thanksgiving; if you're anywhere in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, eastern Tennessee or Alabama, I’ll bring this to you.

Re: FS '67 Power assist.

Yes, but if you're not a purest you can use a later pump and box (which I have) if you have the clearance “divit” in your frame.

Re: FS '67 Power assist.

Tom,

I checked my frame and don’t see indentation, I forwarded you some pics, I guess it won’t work? If so, I will have to pass on it for now until I figure out how to make it work.

Thanks

Re: FS '67 Power assist.

All you need it some spacers...ie washers to make it work on your frame. Or you could heat and beat the indents in. Or you could buy an aftermarket adapter kit to make it work. Just FYI mike1234.

Thanks for info, Michael

Tom
I will have to pass on the power steering assembly, something came up financially and won’t be able to purchase.

Re: FS '67 Power assist.

Dasani, I think you have some conflicting info in this thread. To run this style of power steering on a 67, you do not need the frame indentation right? This power steering setup if for a stock 67, which does not require any modifications to the original frame.
If you are running the later style, then you do need the indentation.

Re: FS '67 Power assist.

Sorry for any confusion this might have caused.
You are correct, this uses the manual steering box therefore, does not require the indentation in the frame rail.

This is a bolt in for those early ’67 frames which did not have the indentation.
