New Weiand Intake and Pro Comp HEI Installed
Finally got my new Weiand intake on yesterday and placed my new HEI in the engine. Still have a long way to go, but getting there. Have a new Holley 4160 ready to go on there as well as new cast aluminum short valve covers, too.

Re: New Weiand Intake and Pro Comp HEI Installed
My goal is to burn as much of it as I can now before we're forced to run veggie oil in our cars/trucks or ride bikes to work. My 67 Camaro with a 396 and Holley 750 cfm 3310 does a good job of sucking gas. I must get about 5 mpg in that thing with my lead foot. I treat the gas pedal like an on/off switch in that thing.

My 383 stroker gets lousy mileage and I have to buy new rear tires quite often too! Sure is fun though! You will like that Weiand intake.

Looks like a lot of fun. If you have trouble getting it to fire when you get it put back together, the first thing to check is that HEI. I bought a ProComp, and it was bad out of the box. Posted on here about it, and found out that I wasn't the first.
Not trying to dampen your enthusiasm, just hoping you are one fo the lucky ones.

I have a Holley and a Procomp HEI and I haven't had any problems with either.

Yeah, Pro Comp stuff is it or miss sometimes but as long as Skip White will replace it for me if it's bad, then I'm ok with it. I have a Pro Comp water pump in my Camaro and no problems yet. The low price is just hard to resist. Sure looks nice, hope it works.
