steel door panels? i see in lmc they sell metal interior door panels.. i guess i have never seen one. mine a vinyl are they metal underneath? i guess it would be cool to have metal painted sane color as truck.

Yes,the base models have painted metal panels and custom models have vinyl laid over them.No need to buy repros from LMC with all the panels on junk trucks for cheap.They don`t wear out and totally paintable.Just watch for alot of rust on the backside.Surface rust is fine,but I`ve seen guys on here with rusted out bottoms.Not sure how that ever happened.I`ve never seen it.

Originals had a backing of plastic.I think it probably held water in some cases and caused moisture to collect there.Not all I have looked at were bad but most had at least some rust.Find a thin sound deadener to put behind the panel when you put them in.They are much quieter that way.
