Re: Horrible hoist acident!
If i had to guess, id say the lift broke, because the pass side arms are all the way down and the drivers are up. Cable probably let go?

Re: Horrible hoist acident!
Guarantee the safety latches were not locked in place because even if the cable breaks the latches stay locked in place....that is horrible I just cringed....

Re: Horrible hoist acident!
Dealer did that to my brand new special order 74 Z28. Problem was there was a pit next to the lift and the Z did a twist-o in there. Have never been back to that dealer again (nor will I)

Those pictures make me sad, even sadder than abused puppy pictures.

Re: Horrible hoist acident!
That is why I don't use anything with safety cables or latches, they can fail. If I hear cracking noises, I scatter.

The second link I don't think anyone was killed. The crash happened locally here on Snelling Ave just outside the main gate to the state fairgrounds. I think they had Back to the 50s at the fairgrounds that weekend when the crash happened. Last edited by turbo350; 02-12-2010 at 07:25 AM. |
