Air Bag Question...
What is the lowest part on the truck if you use bags? Does the gas tank have to be relocated? What about the headders/exhaust? Not like I'll be able to afford the swap. I'm just dreaming.....

lowest part on my truck with a 4/6 drop is my headers, so it will be the same with bags if you have full lengh ones.

On our trucks, the Y-pipe is first to make contact with the road (Talking about a factory-like setup now). The front cross-member and oil pan are also very low. The gas tanks don't need to be relocated in many cases.

Your tank will be about 3/4" off the ground once the control arms, y pipe and the tranny crossmember lay out. They will be higher if you have a normal bolt in notch.
Here's what my setup looks like laid out. The oil pan is no concern. Last edited by Izzy; 01-23-2003 at 04:03 PM. |

Well, I have located a donor for one. It took a weekend to get it mine chopped. Once I get it out of the truck, it should take about 2 days. Are you wanting it finished up with the grinding, or just welded?

Wasn't Ryan (low 84) wanting the first one?
I will have to find another one though, I guess I could sell mine if I have to... I have one drilled for bags already and could cut it for me.....
