Another VIN question???

I'm getting ready to do a full frame off resto on a 69swb. I want to keep the truck original with a few modern add ons like disc brakes, 4speed auto ect.. According to the glove box tag the truck was a black 350/350 cst truck with a chrome package. My question is what is the chrome package? is it upper and lower, is it woodgrain or black ect? thanks

Re: Another VIN question???

I've got a 70 cst and had to go look at the sticker on mine to see what it says. Nothing about a crome package, but mine is dressed with as much as they made, I think, except for upper strips.
Here's where it's at.
Bottom wood grain/chrome. Nothing on top.
Chrome front bumper.
Chrome/Stainless around windshield and back glass.
Chrome wing vents.
Chrome/wood grain door panels and crome around headliner.
Hope this helps you ouy and good luck.

Ill have to go out to the shop tomorrow to get you the exact name of the option but when I was reading it a couple weeks ago I remember it being close to that.

Re: Another VIN question???

lower trim on all 69 and 70 CST trucks would be woodgrain.
There's more to the package than listed above too.
I'd love to see the photo of your SPID.

Re: Another VIN question???

you aren't an a hole... There's eleventy billion options avalible, and only 1000 listed in the books. (I may be off on those numbers, but you get the idea) I like seeing things listed that supposedly don't exist. GM books only tell 1/2 the story, personally, I tend to lean towards what the books say untill I see proof saying something else.
Its all good man... it's still a 69 CST!
