Hrm.. headliner??
Hi all..
In the build of my wifes 60 apache she has requested some softening of the cab.. one thing is to line the center area of the roof with some pleather or material of her choice.. Question is, how much space is there between the exterior/interior roof and how should I go about attaching. I was thinking of something similar to an older door panel covered with the push in style clips but not sure of how much space is up there. Any other ideas would also be very welcome.. I really hate to drill holes if I dont have to and I really hate covering up the deep black paint with anything.. Yet she has stated her case and the phrase "its my truck isnt it" did curb my argument.. anyhow again any advise would be greatly appreciated. Reid |

Re: Hrm.. headliner??
Woot, didnt even think of velcro.. Thank you!! That way when she gets tired of it and I drop a big block in there I can tear it off and be done with it
Thanks |

Re: Hrm.. headliner??
I believe there's less than an inch space between the two Reid. I would go with the Velcro also.

Re: Hrm.. headliner??
I'm installing a headliner on my truck. I scored some of that industrial velcro. both sides are the same. kind of a white nylon. This stuff can hold up to 75lbs. If you cant find it shoot me a PM i have some.

Re: Hrm.. headliner??
I saw a thread about headlines befor. Do a search and you should find it. There is a company that makes headlines and door panels with the velcro for what you are wanting to do.

Re: Hrm.. headliner??
i've not heard good things about the door panels but i like my steel doors anyways. i'm still looking for a headliner solution for sound and heat insulation purposes and i really like the velcro idea, if i could manage to get some insulation behind it i think that would definitely be the way to go. not to hijack but has anyone seen or used the rear cab cover. is it designed to be used without the gas tank in there?
