window glass question
I put new rubber on the bottom of the windows and they are hard to crank down for a turn or two and then do great. It is the same coming up is that because the new rubber seals in the window channels or have I got the window too far in one direction installed in the bottom glass channel?
Will this work itself out or do I need to reinstall the window a little one way or the other? |

Re: window glass question
Make sure the rubber is pushed in all the way and you can also try some silicone spray in the rubber channel.

Re: window glass question
The answer is yes it is possible that the metal channel on your window is just a bit off. But before you adjust that channel on the window, try the lub idea and to loosen the vent window assy to see if you can adjust it's position to achieve proper operation of the window.

Re: window glass question
What is the lub idea ( I sprayed the moving parts with dry silicone before I put in window) and what does the vent window assembly have to do with the widow and how is it adjusted to the window? Does it not just fit one way?

Re: window glass question
Yes, it fits one way. but you may get another 1/16 of a inch by leaving the screws loose and ensure you are getting the most clearance on that track the window rides in. Sometimes there is enough movement to make a difference. Then secure the screws. Worth the try. If you didn't previously spray the tracks the window edge is riding in also.

Re: window glass question
SAMMY hit it right on the head don't tighten anything until the alignment is good . I would play with it & lock it down only when the window moves smooth all the way up /down hope this helps you ...Pat
