Meanin of a Silverdao?

Ok I know that back in the 70's and 80's when our trucks were first coming out they had different names based on how the truck was built. I got a 1986 3/4 ton silverado LWB 4x4. What does the Silverado mean? A friend of mine had the exact same truck but it was a Scottsdall, whats the difference?

Silverado was the "loaded" package.

Re: Meanin of a Silverdao?

It's more of the "trim package". All the side trim and the tailgate band and all that jazz.

Re: Meanin of a Silverdao?

Mine is a fully striped model then, the title says its an 86 3/4 ton Silverado C20. Now keep in mind that the truck is four wheel drive. Isnt that a bit odd? I thought all 4x4s were a K series not C. It has no trim, no badges, no nothing.

Re: Meanin of a Silverdao?

C = 2wd, K = 4wd.

Something's fishy with your truck. Does the title match the VIN? Maybe someone changed the numbers? Weird...

Re: Meanin of a Silverdao?

The title VIN matches the one in the glove box, sounds like someone swapped the cab?
