More pics of new truck, need some help

I shot some pics of the engine compartment. Here is the history on the truck: the carburetor that the PO had on it backfired and caught the under hood insulation on fire. That in turn burned up some plugs and wires. In the pictures below you can see the damsge. Only a couple of fires were actually burnt all the way through and a couple of plugs/connectors were melted some. My question is, should I just replace the harness or fix what is wrong with this one?

Plug for??

Would like input either way and if you say replace it what company should I look in to? I have looked at Ez-Wiring and they seem to be the cheapest, are they good quality?

Re: More pics of new truck, need some help

No big deal to fix what you have but a new harness isn't that much money. Depends on how much time/money you have to spend on this project.

If you are on a tight budget so a new harness is out of the question and / or can't find a used one that is correct find a GM vehicle of the same vintage and buy that used harness. You can repin the firewall connector with the wires from the donor harness that you need.
