bias tires
this might be a stupid ? but didnt all bias ply tires have tubes? i got to looking at the tires that came with my truck, and im not so sure if they are bias play. how can i tell for sure??

Hi Dave. If your tires are 7.50x16, then they are bias ply non radials. All radials start with R, such as R-235/75-16. There were tubless bias ply tires, but most trucks 3/4 ton and up had tubes due to the split rims. Thanks, Lyman.

Just being a 7.50x16 does not make them bias, but if there is no R in the designation, then they are bias like stated before.
No, not all of them have/had tubes, it was just an option you had being there was no steel belts to possably puncture the tubes. FYI, you can still get 16.5's in bias construction from Sears. THey have to order them, but they actually still sell these old things. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. well they are tubles,and radial.. were there bias tires like that?

actually theres mor ebias tires out there then youd relize, ALOT of the mud tires are bias....
