1966 suburban air ride
I have a cool ride air ride system from ridetech for the c10 that i was going to take out my 4" drop coils and put the air setup into. I am not going to C notch or change the floor out so the question is...Does anyone have one of these air ride kits installed and how low will it go with out taking out inner fenders or stuffing the rear wheels into the tubs?...and better yet....any pictures?...I want to make sure I am going to getting the right look before i put it in. Thanks for any help I can get....

Re: 1966 suburban air ride
Here's mine with no notch and spindles. The final aired out hite depends on your tire size. I had 20's and the front would sit on the inner fenders. With the 15's it is about 1/4'' off the ground in the front, at the x-member. In the rear I have about 3/4'' bumpstop on the frame.

Re: 1966 suburban air ride
okay so make sure i understand you don't have drop spindles or a c notch and when you let the air out of your system with 15's the cross member is about 1/4 off the ground right?.....and on the back with the 3/4" bump stops does it sit almost level?....Are those pictures of it all the way down now? Hey thanks for the help and the pictures...it looks awsome...infact it's inspiring me to get my butt in gear and get mine all done...that looks awsome

Re: 1966 suburban air ride
Sorry, I was a little unclear. I am running 2.5'' drop spindles. I did not notch the frame. The pics are aired out. I'm running a 265/50/15 up front which is tiny. I will probably switch to a 255/60/15.
Cant tell you about the levelness of the setup as I have not had the same size tires on it. I'm guessing you will be slightly raked to the front....thats a guess. Good luck with your air system.
