Bed bolt removal
Any tips on the best way to get the bolts to stop spinning when you unloosen the nuts? Or, what to use to just simply remove the bolt and nut from the equation? Thanks!

Re: Bed bolt removal
With a grinder cut a groove on the head of the bolt. To make it look like a slotted screw. Then with someones help and a flat head screwdriver, ask them to hold the "screw" you just made, while you get under the truck and loosen the nut. Hope this helps.

Re: Bed bolt removal
Tack weld nuts on them easier to hold than the screwdriver or use the good old cuttin torch.

Re: Bed bolt removal
Get your impact out (I can do it with my long handle ratchet) and TIGHTEN them, yes I said TIGHTEN them. They will easily break off. much easier and quicker than the other options and you were going to have to replace them anyway.

Re: Bed bolt removal
Amen brother! If the bed wood is rotted and the bolt is loose use vice grips. The tighten until the bolt shank twists in two.

Re: Bed bolt removal
I tighted them down and used a wire brush on a air tool to remove most of the rust. Then Impact to take them off. I had to cut slots on a few bolts. Took the whole bed apart only broke 3 bolts......
