Windshield Removal?
I did a search but it kept removing "windshield" from it for some reason.
Anyway, I have access to a few parts trucks and I would like to know the steps/tools necessary to remove a windshield without damaging it. My factory windshield is fogging on the edges and I would like to replace it with one from the parts trucks. Thanks.

Cut the windshield seal.

Re: Windshield Removal?
The last windshield that I removed was one with the trim. Using a linoleum knife I cut the outside part of the seal all of the way around. The lip that I cut off was about 3/8". Removing this lip keeps the seal from sticking to the outside of the frame. On the inside I cut the lip on top and on the sides. Once the cut parts were removed it was easy to push the window out by myself and catch it. I left the trim in the seal until the windshield was out as it could be easily damaged, otherwise.

Re: Windshield Removal?
Thanks for the tips everyone. I think I'm going to try it the way No3Fan4Ever posted first. Not getting cut is a definite plus.
