finally some color!!!

Hey all it's been awhile since i've posted some updates, I finally am close to the end lol. I cut the inside cab and doors last night.

Thanks guys its exciting to finaly see the results of all the hours of blocking and metal repairs! This is my first restoration and first time welding, painting, preping, u name it lol still gonna farm out thefinal paint and clear to the bodyshop! The color is a GM code off an avalanch and HHR I saw. Lol I'm still alittle fuzy from last nights festivaties but sunburst orange mettalic is stuck in my head ill check later.

Looks great! I know how you feel, I hae been sanding, welding, blocking for what seems like forever... I dont think I will ever be ready for paint....

I love it how much paint did you go through, and clear if you don't mind sharing. I went through a pint just for the cab, jams, and inside the doors. Haven't cleared anything yet, I'm going ppg a pint was 66 plus catalist. clear is 300 a gallon foor the good stuff. I'm haveing me buddy whos a pro painter finish the clear and shoot the outside.

I had a buddy stand behind me with a light in the cab so i could see everything. there were alot of shadows whithout it and could have been easy to go to thin or heavy without. have fun.
