Has anyone ever had to weight a cab by chance?Or have a way to suggest figuring it out?I may be shipping a stripped cab w/doors (also stripped) and need to know the weight.I have a bare cab here but would be a bear getting to to haul out and hit a scale.Has anyone ever worked the carnival circuit as a weight guesser?

I`m putting on my thinking cab and i anyone likes a challenge,give it a shot.

four average guys picked mine up and set it on the frame. If you figure each one can lift a 150 pounds then that's 600 pounds give or take a few. that's with no glass, seat, or gas tank

I will guess 400 pounds, my brother and I have lifted several onto a 4' work table by ourselves, it is heavy because of the shape and lack of grip points.

Well,I won`t argue with either of you.My off the cuff knee jerk guess was 500#.The way they can slide on wood w/o digging in and how I can walk one around says it can`t be all that much.It`s a big box of air,right?It`s cumbersome and awkward.I bit front heavy,too.It seams lighter than my woodstove,which is stubborn about moving at all w/just me.Two isn`t much better.With lifting there`s the jerk,then the curl.The curl tells the truth on the weight.
I`d like some more input for comparison and maybe we can fine tune this.The thing is the guy hauling needs to know because he may just toss it on with a load.It would suck to run overweight because you were helping someone out.And,I`m sure he wants all the payload he can get on,too.

I would say the 400 range because i sold a cut up one for scrap and got eight dollors and change for it scrap was $2 hundred at the time:lol

I would guess 350-400 lbs. Three of us lifted my cab in place last summer and it was pretty easy... It is front heavy... no way is it 500 though...

I would say a BARE cab is maybe 350. I have taken mine on and off the truck by myself just using boards as skids. My cab is 100% bare also.

^ That`s what I go by.I you can slide it on boards its lighter than a motor.And,all the other answers are in line,too.I would say no more than 425-450 with bare doors and hinges.

Any guesses on door weight?25#?50#?I`m leaning towards 25# each.

Doors weigh about 50lbs. each with hinges and glass, no panels.
