Re: 67 c30

the small back window was standard for '67 but a big window was optional. for the cab light all I can tell you is my '68 doesn't have one.

Re: 67 c30

Small back windows were standard up until '67 but you could order a truck with a big back window.
Starting in '68 all back windows were big.
You best bet will be to look at and decode the VIN. Of course, at this late date, any number of swaps and modifications are possible, including swapping a cab and a VIN to a different cab, so you may never know for sure. Besides, unless you're looking for an untouched, unmodified, pristine original, what difference does it make really? These trucks are getting old enough that guys are building whole vehicles from parts, or several donor trucks. Check out the "projects and builds" section of the board for a sample of the wholesale, extensive, frame-off restorations, cab swaps, etc, etc, etc, that our members are doing.

As for the cab light, that was an option that could be ordered. Being a one-ton or a '67 had nothing to do with whether it had a light or not.

Re: 67 c30

what are we calling a cab light?
1. ID/marker lights on the roof top?
2. Dome light inside?
3. Cargo light over the rear window on the outside?

#1 would have been required if the truck was originally built with dual rear wheels.
#2 all 67 - 72 trucks had them
#3 No, that option started mid 69.

Re: 67 c30

clearance/marker/ID lights. That should be the ones on top of the cab. It also sounds like they have been messed with.
The federal DOT name for the lights on top of the cab roof are ID lights, being the 3 in the center, and marker lights that are located away from the center 3 and towards the edge of the roof or panel they are on. The 3 in the center are for oncoming traffic to recognise it is a truck over 7 feet wide (I may be off on the width), and the 2 outer lights are to help the oncoming traffic locate where it is in the road.
