try getting a 500 dollar mandatory lack of insurance fine and 75 dollar lack of registration ticket all at the same time in a car you just bought to part out for the drivetrain in a State park by the dept of natural resources dude, IE known as Sandman, that was a crappy day... my bro was with me to enjoy that incident, heh
$605 total after court attendance hehe at least court costs are cheap ! all i wante dot do was test out the 455 and th400 to make sure it was a good one, and it was lol.. had ot sell drivetrain to a boater to help pay that off, so that was a big waste.. he later blew engine up in the boat,... getting tickets and such is part of the risk of having vehicles, probably wont be your last hehe have fun ! ------------------ -71/C-10(thx teeitup and crews!)350 4+4/CH465(thx 71Chev, GMCPaul, and CPNE)longfleet bed(thnx meathead95)!still building it- -'84 Z28(Z28) 1G1AP87GXEL100000 with H.O. 305/4bbl/190net/hp(L69) 3.73 rear(GT4/YC4) 700R4(MD8-MXO) & other goodies -79 G20 pass van, 350/th350/10bolt, paint is overrated Randy- Lincoln, IL randy@ccaonline.com © RSS Enterprises 2000 [This message has been edited by Fast68Chevy (edited March 19, 2002).] |

The last time I took the 70 to town, I got a careless and reckless ticket. Just because this wet-behind-the-ears punk, doesn't know what tubbed is.

I'm lucky, over twenty years of driving I've only recieved one minor ticket, which I deserved. Its funny cuz I always seem to be speeding and I drive everyday, in the city to boot.

very odd with me..in 3 years.i've never gotten a ticket in my '67 swb, but have gotten 3 in my economy getter. One thing nice to know about the '67, any vehicle made befor Jan 1, 1968 does NOT require seatbelts, save yourself $10 sometime.

in the past 2 weeks i have 2 tickets from the same cop in the same spot at the same time of the day!! my working hours changed so i now go in before rush hour starts instead of in the middle of it. rules change as traffic starts to flow i guess, 59/35 and 53/35 for a total of $225 in a truck that strains to hold 60mph. ironically enough, as fast as my camaro is and as crazy as i drive it i have never even been pulled over in it, this truck is a damn cop magnet.

I have had a few tickets and a few warnings in 24 years, all of them because I was SPEEDING! Don't whine or cry because you got caught. If you broke the law, then take your lumps, too. I found the cops will be more likely to be easier on you if when they ask"Did you know you were going a little too fast?", and you say"Yes" than if you lie. I've gotten more warnings by being courteous and honest. And of course I find there's lead in my foot most of the time, too. Not as much when the kids are with me though.

You get FINED for no Insurance? Here in Az they try to tell me insurance is unfair because the poor can't afford it. Well, then who are the buses for? And Califronia wants to give drivers licenses to Illegal aliens?
A friend got rearended here in his BMW by a homeless guy who lived in a tent outside of town. The cops didn't even want to come to the scene. He had no license, no registration, no insurance, and after they cited him for all the violations, they let him go........and watched him drive down the street! My friend's insurance premiums go up because his company had to pay! What a great country! Last Thursday night and last Friday afternoon two different incidents of illegal aliens sneaking in to the country......Friday, south of Tucson......after darkk.....a F@@D crew cab pickup with FOURTY-ONE ILLEGAL ALIENS rolls over after BOTH rear tire blow (DUH) and all are air lifted to area hospitals. Friday on Interstate 19, TWENTY ONE in a pickup roll over while running from the Border Patrol, one dead, 20 airlifted to area hospitals, and the news says the cost to taxpayers for their treatment will exceed 500,000.00. And you guys get fined for no insurance? What a concept!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I'm venting AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I agree too! My insurance just went up $29 dollars every 6 months for no fault of my own. (Allstate) I never had to file a claim in the 19 years im driving but I keep paying more and more and more...What a crock!
All I did was pay for the morons that didn't know how to drive. I don't even want to think of just how much money I paid through the years. It would be tremendous! ------------------ 63 Impala*66 Chevelle SS*69 Chevelle*69 C10 Stepside*71 Cheyenne 20*72 Chevelle Parts for sale: http://www.angelfire.com/trek/mr409/items4sale.html

Since I was 16 I,ve had 51 tickets.I still have most of the copies.Got nine in one sitting. Most of them are from my younger years.Wish I had all the thousands of dollars back I paid out on them. That would buy me a couple of really nice trucks and bikes.lol
