oo sierra dash lighting issues

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and if they had fixed it. The mini bulbs in the modules in the dash are going out. 4 wheel drive control, window and lock controls on the doors, parts of the temp controls all have the same problem. I am probably going to buy these http://www.mcmaster.com/#1505k414/=5axw5r
which are what i think the exact same bulb type as whats in there now. Has anyone else solved this any other way? I was also thinking about putting in leds instead. The truck only has 85k on it, so im kinda surprised this is happenin....

Re: oo sierra dash lighting issues

4wd control modules are known to go bad on these trucks, be sure the light problem is a bulb or the switch. Either way, the switch is about $40 if I remember.

My driver side power window switches are dark now too.. Haven't got around to fixing them

Re: oo sierra dash lighting issues

By switch u mean the parking lamp switch, or the switches in the 4wd module? Either way, i kno the module works fine, its just the lights that are crapin out. The leds that indicate what position the 4wd in all work great, but the incandescent's that are used for illumination have gone, as i think the same with the power window switches, however i havnt opened that up yet.

Yep, I meant the 4wd switch. If it's working, good Just pointed it out because it is a common issue.
