Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
cant really say as to why the skulls, cds, and paint. But if you notice they are parked in handicap and looks like there are some bungie cords hanging off the opening on the tire side...my assumption would be that its so they can load unload a wheelchair or scooter of some sort easier...just an educated guess.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
First thing I noticed is the Marine Corps plate on the tailgate. Being prior service that's enough for me to know why there are a bunch of strange things on the truck and I would also go with the possibility of it being a wounded veteran's truck.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
The first thing I noticed was that it was a Wal-Mart parking lot. At that point nothing about the truck surprises me.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
I have to agree but then I noticed it parked in a handicaped parking space so it makes me think that the person might be mentally challenge to build such an abortion of a truck.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
I didn't know it had been posted over in the other thread. I couldn't get past the first picture in that thread. Atleast this truck would be easier to fix than the other.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
I'd venture to say that the cutout in the side serves or served a purpose either now or at a previous time. From where it is sitting and what not I'd think now. And there those out there who think that sticking junk like that on their vehicles is "customizing". But he doesn't have the painted on black bra on the front that I have seen quite a number of around here along with a spoiler made out of a 1x10 board.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
The decoration,I just don't understand but in my youth,I might have wanted to take a trip thru his mind just to see what it was like.As far as the cutout bed,I've seen it before and there was a "Lincoln" welder mounted crossways.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
seems like I see a new one of these every couple years around here...usually odd ball model cars I think it has something to do with the frat houses at Dartmouth college?? ( they did film animal house here) they have just about anything glued to them from shark fins, cd's, coat hangers or what ever they can find?? ussually followed by some sort of paint job done with an odd color from a rattle can...the last one I saw was Gold....and I dont mean gold I mean GOLD as in off the Xmas tree....I dont get it but it does make a statement!!

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
Dartmouth has nothing to do with where animal house was filmed, Unless they picked up the whole collage and moved it to Eugene, you're on the wrong coast even

getting back on track though, I'm sure that everything on that truck has a meaning to the owner OR, it means nothing and he just started gluing random crap all over it so people would go WTF

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
you know what? if I was handicapped I would probably do the same thing. I'll bet you a round of Roshambo the guy is on a small fixed income and did what he had to do. granted I dislike a guy cutting up a classic but I also like that he is driving a good truck and not some minivan. I'll give him 5 virtual rep points for that.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
Hmmmm, I wonder if you guys would feel any different about the truck if you knew the guy had both legs blown off trying to drag another wounded soldier to cover in Vietnam. You know when I look at something like that, I smile, shake my head and move on. It's his truck, his money and he can do however, whatever he wants. If he's a vet and needs something for that truck that I have, he can have it.

Re: Has anyone seen this yet?
I like the "wheelchair notch" theory. As for the rest of it, seems like an Art Car.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_car I see a lot of these in Seattle. Kinda cool if you ask me, but it's sure to p**s off fans of the models being made into "art". One of my favorites from around here is an 80's Ford Ranger that is covered in Ivy. I've never been close enough to see if it's real or fake ivy, but based on the tool rack I'm guessing the owner is a gardener or landscaper. I wish I could find a pic.
