What are you replacing your leaf spring bumpers with on lifted trucks?
Anyone found some nice looking bump stops/leaf spring bumpers for a 4" lift?
Colored, holes, cool design? My truck is a 71 K20 but I don't think the year or model really matters.. |

The rubber triangles over the axles that keep the leafs from bottoming out.
I have seen some cool ones on trucks in magazines but not sure where they came from. Last edited by Big-Blue; 01-17-2010 at 09:13 PM. Reason: spelling |

I agree
That bracket is unnecessary they are extra weight and it looks much cleaner once they are removed. imho

I was being sarcastic. I never used them, but I think Energy has some.

if you are worried about hauling enough to bottom out a 4 inch lift. I dont think A lift is for you... But for ideas you could always just fab up your own. would be cheap and get the job done.?

There are ones out there for looks.I`ve never touched any of mine.Kinda forget about them, since they serve no purpose on a lifted truck.I know Rancho (red) used to make them and maybe Superlift (yellow). Not sure about blue or green.

Re: What are you replacing your leaf spring bumpers with on lifted trucks?
I only ever used bumpstops on a truck, that was a lowered 2wd with a 4 wheeler and a bed upside down on top of the truck, that was the one and only time.

Re: What are you replacing your leaf spring bumpers with on lifted trucks?
I am going for a look...not really function. (not sure what that look is)
Blue would be nice... I need to check some of the other lift companies. Thanks for the input guys. |

Re: What are you replacing your leaf spring bumpers with on lifted trucks?
Just because I have no use for them doesn`t mean someone else shouldn`t upgrade them. That`s how I`m built.I like form and function in balance, some are all about looks, and some only function. They must make them for somebody. They really don`t weigh much.Extra weight directly over the axles is a great traction aide.

Re: What are you replacing your leaf spring bumpers with on lifted trucks?
I play tug-a-war with my truck and weight is a big thing. When you are trying to make a truck weigh 5000 lb's with 1 ton running gear every ounce counts.

Re: What are you replacing your leaf spring bumpers with on lifted trucks?
I don`t play tug of war.
You could always hold off on the french fries and potato chips.
