A little SWB Progress.....

Here is this weekends events:

Truck striped of the old bed. Cab comes next!!

Restored bed, under urathane primer

16 Gallon fuel cell from Summit, complete with sending unit

Notched the last bed brace for clearance to get the tank closer to the bed floor

Moved the brake line to the front on the crossmember to make room for the tank.

Gas door in the bed floor. Got a Factory door and hinge off a junk yard truck and with a little measuring and brain power got it to work....

Finally the new bed on the truck.... - the tailgate, not quite read yet.

I'm looking at getting another usable cab, so i can get it ready to put on the truck and swap it on a weekend. That way I can continue to drive it..... This gas tank Idea has been wondering around in my head for awhile. Worked out pretty good....
