Carb Choice
Bought an engine for my truck and am slowly putting the pieces back on as the my buddy is building a new engine and wanted to keep some stuff and one of them is the demon carb that was on it which worked awesome in his nova . The motor is a 350 standard bore, flat tops, air gap intake with porting work and vortec heads with a fair amount of porting done to them. The cam is a Comp , duration 228 int ,234 ext, lift int 480 ext 499 with 4/7 swap and 1.5 ,1.6 rocker combo,Turbo 400 tranny with 3500 stall converter (maybe overkill but going to try it) . Eventually 4 something gears in rear end.i dont drivr the truck much and plan on playing at the track a bit so i,m wondering 650,750,mechanical or vaccum secondaries,it will be a holley...thx to all that reply

Re: Carb Choice
I'm a Holley fan. Depending on the rear gear, I think I would run a 650 DP. You could probably get the 750 to work but I think the 650 would be a bit crisper in the throttle response. I've had good luck with the Street HP series carbs.

Re: Carb Choice
I agree,, 650,but being primarily a street vehicle I'd use a vacuum secondary carb. That's a pretty mild cam and wouldn't support the rpm it would take for a 350 to want a 750. IMO let him keep the Demon,, your WAY better off!!!

I just did my taxes and reviewed my SS statement. Thanks to the current administration it looks like I will only have to work till noon on the day of my funeral. |

Re: Carb Choice
I had a similar motor in my old street truck and I had a 650dp on it and I loved it.
