lift question
i looked at lots of pics now on here. i just have a few questions. what is the diff. in the lifts. i mean i know one is 6 and one is 3 but i have seen some with 6 inch lifts only have 33 or 35 and there fenders are close. but have also seen a 6 inch with 36s that make the tires look tiny. mostly on the burbs. what is the dang differance. i have a 85 burb with 33s and 0-2 inches of lift and my tires look tiny and the guy i got it from had 35s on it with no rubbing. any info would be nice to have.

Re: lift question
the width of the wheels and backspacing.
We ran 33's stock on an 86 1/2 ton and they filled it up decent, then we did a 4 inch and the same 33's looked way too small.

Re: lift question
It also depends on how old the lift kit is. As time progress', they springs settle down. So a truck with a brand new lift spring sitting on 35"s, may look taller than that of the same lift with some years on it.
There is also differences in different brands of lift kits. Some may sit taller than others. Superlift's lift kits tend to run a little taller. Trevor

Re: lift question
Very few tires are as big as advertised. A 35 may actually be a 34.

Re: lift question
i want to fit 37s on my burb. it has 33s now but can fit 35 on it now. the guy i got it from hade them on. i just dont want to get the wrong size lift. i may just get a 12 inch and see what looks good under it. think 40-44 would look great.
