center rear cross member not square
We are in the process of installing c/notch kit and in frame fuel tank. I was measuring the distance between the rear cross members and found that the center one is almost one inch our of square on my 67 GMC leaf spring truck. the front and rear are centered fine. Has anyone run into this before?
thanks Fred |

Re: center rear cross member not square
Thanks guys for the info, since mine is a leaf spring truck we went ahead and squared it up. We had to cut the driver side rivets for the C-notch kit any way. So now the rear fuel tank can be a lil bigger in width front to back and shorter in height and still be near 19 gallons.

Re: center rear cross member not square
not only to clear the panhard bar, but if you will look closely it is in the opposite angle of the panhard rod, therefore adding some strength/support due to triangulation.
