Help me choose tires!
I am going to buy new tires in New Mexico because I don't think the present ones will make it all the way back to FL. I want some that I can use with the current stock rims but maybe trade over eventually to new rims. I have been looking mostly at BFGoodrich, Michelin, and Goodyear. I like the looks of the BFGoodrich Radial TA's. Maybe something a little taller and wider out back, but nothing drastic. What do you guys run? I need to know quick because I leave in a couple weeks and have to research places around NM that carry them. Please help!! Thanks

BFG TA's were all I ran on my Camaro, Goodyear Eagles on my Vette, both great tires. Your safe either way. I've also heard good about some Bridgestone Potenza tires but never ran them.

Like Cheyenne71 said, 275 60's will look great in the back, and maybe 235 60's in the front.

There is a tire I have run for some time, it is a Korean tire called Hankook. Don't get the low end, but the high end is great for me for wet traction. Check the traction ratings. Just an opinion. TF

I just put a set of 285 70 15's on the back of my 68. It is lowered a little and they fill the fender wells real good. They kinda give it that hot rod look.

I run Toyo's on all my vehicles because of the quality, and they hold up well on all types of road conditions (lot of gravel roads around here). Wouldn't own anything from Badyear!

Wow, thanks everybody! Now I can find out if they have any places that carry tires in the crackertown my truck is in. Just a few more weeks, maybe 2-3!

Im running four Dayton Daytona 255x60-15 tires on 15x8 rims on my truck. They fit the wheel really good, get pretty good traction on mud and gravel (for a 2wd anyway), and don't spin out too easy on the pavement. They cost about $89 each at a local tire shop. I like the way they look better then most people, whose tires stick 2" out of their wheelwells.

Summit's got them for the cheapest I have found so far. Right now it has "Aurora radials" on it, I have never heard of those before. Thanks everybody for the info!
