That is very cool! I hate it when someone calls something Pro Street and it is almost stock!

That price isn`t high at all. That motor cost a good bit of it.I built a true pro-street`70 StepsideCST in the early`90s.I took an LS6 and massaged it into one screamin`meany. The truck was back 1/2`d with a Dana60/Mark Williams equipped rear and a Powerglide.Due to a builder beating me out of big bucks I had to finish it off and sell.I got $20,000 for it back in`94.

Not a bad looking truck. But the colors are too close to Broncos crap for me.

Re: A "Real" Pro Street Truck

bet the guy spent a good chunk of change on the paint and body work too. that's a sweet truck. if i was rich and still living in the NW i would definitely at least take a look at it.

Re: A "Real" Pro Street Truck

Frank, thanks for sharing.I didn`t mean to turn it into a WIW.
It sure is nice to look at.It`s "race equipped" (pro) and stylized (street). It`s got the roll bar fr quick ETs,yet a nice bench seat & door panels along with a stylish custom paunt job that does it justice for a speed look as well as a custom hot rod look. That spoiler is about the function more than looks. It would suck on anything but a real pro-street.Mine was a Stepside with a more vintage hot rodder look and only necessary for speed hints at pro-street.Basically,from the outside it was just the drag stars, big meets, front runners, and fuel cell/shut-off.The tonneau was both for the old school look and to smooth the air flow and no wing/foil/spoiler.What`s "real" about a pro-street is when your chest can feel the motor thumpin`at idle.I had tunnel ram,no huffer, but the gear drive could only be heard with it coming at you.I thought I`d just do another one day.I don`t see that day coming again. We all love these trucks and most can dig`em better with some decent punch. But,to have a pickup that`ll clean most car`s clock is an awesome thing and there`s nothing like seeing the jaws drop.Just picture running that thing and not looking at it."Here Horsey Horsey.Wanna come out and play?I want to show you my tailgate".It just doesn`t get any better than that and the price doesn`t matter at that point. It`s just plain too cool.
