Master Cylinder Rebuild ?
Has any one here rebuilt a master cylinder (for manual brakes). How do you get the piston and spring out. I think mine is siezed up, it has been sitting awhile with no fluid in it from my 68

Re: Master Cylinder Rebuild ?
manual and power master cylinders are the same. They are so stupid cheap, I don't see any reason in rebuilding one personally.

Re: Master Cylinder Rebuild ?
A rebuilt with lifetime warranty is about $15 from autozone. If you're dead set on rebuilding your own, compressed air should do it. Make sure to plug all the other ports though.

Re: Master Cylinder Rebuild ?
There's an internal snap ring where the piston enters the bore. Put the MC in a vise, push the piston down a little, and the snap ring and piston should come out.
