Re: dooley ride quality
It's the long wheel base. Bumps and such don't affect the vehicle as much. Same thing with towing. A crew cab long bed truck will feel much more stable with a heavy trailer behind it that an regular cab with a short bed.

Re: dooley ride quality
Honestly, I can't say. I haven't ridden in many other trucks really so I don't have much to compare it to. I feel like my C30 handles okay for a truck. It will definitely beat you up over bumps when it's empty, but I would expect so with the 1-ton springs.

Re: dooley ride quality

Re: dooley ride quality
i know that the 2wd duallys ride very nice. mine rides very good and even with a 12k+ load behind mine i feel like im in control. HOWEVER the 4wd duallys i heard ride rough because of the leaf springs. and as always the longer the wheelbase the better the ride.

Re: dooley ride quality
Both my 4wd duallys ride great, tires make a difference as does empty vs loaded. Changing from bias to radials on the 83 K30 dually REALLY made a difference in the ride!

Re: dooley ride quality
Spring rates and weight placement vary from truck style to truck style. Plus it depends on who's spring is in it too in the 4wd's.
