need help on 4x4 1 ton
i have a 1982 1 ton dually that the front axle is bad will a 3/4 ton axle work and still use the dually rims. thanks bigjim

Your 1 ton front axle is a dana 60;the 3/4 ton uses a gm 10 bolt corporate;you rims will not work but you could use std 3/4 ton rims of the same size;the most important issue would be to match gear ratio.
Unless your dana 60 dually housing is damaged I would repair your original;dana parts are readily available new or used .... |

80SPORT is right, but...is your truck a DRW or SRW? If its DRW then you need DRW front hubs. If its SRW then a 3/4 will work. Make sure you have the ratio the same or you will kill your transfer case. Also, if you plan on doing hauling and such with the 3/4t in it, make sure it isnt a D44HD or a 10BHD. Make sure its a D60.
