Door window seals too short?

I got a set from LMC and they seem too short. They barely touch the window and don't really seal at all. Is that common? It seems like the rubber should be at least 1/8" longer.

Re: Door window seals too short?

Usually this problem shows up when the door is spread apart. If you have a 71 or older check to see that the sheet metal strip between the two halves of the door is intact. (the strip is toward the front of the door close to the window run).

Re: Door window seals too short?

I had those LMC seals and they rotted out in a year. Got some good ones from Wes at Classic Heartbeat.
