non stock L/S battery box
Has anyone installed a non stock L/S battery box in their truck pictures please. I want to use the stock battery cables and junction box on my 04 LQ9 conversion in my 67 gmc. So I need to mount the battery on the drivers side.

Re: non stock L/S battery box
If you can find an original auxiliary battery tray, that's the easiest way to do it, or you can cut your right hand tray apart and weld it back together with the sides flipped around. I'll try to get a pic of mine tomorrow.

Re: non stock L/S battery box
I think Tri-pro was working on a repro aux barrey tray at one time, mounts on driver side. Your looking at doing the same as me. I'm putting 5.3 in, using under hood fuse box and PCM on drivers fender. Move coolant overflow to passenger side, and intake filter to passenger side. I'll be looking for Aux Battery mount as well. Good luck.

Re: non stock L/S battery box
Scotts trucks sells a repop. here was his email to me a few months ago. he has since gone up to $90 + shipping.
A couple of months ago I inquired about scotts trucks auxiliary battery tray and this was his response........ Our Aux battery tray assemblies are $85.00 ea and are the same gauge as original and are powder coated, sorry no pictures right now. Call us 403-886-5572 with a credit card and we'll get you one right out . shipping is $20.00. Scott SSTrucks

Re: non stock L/S battery box
Thanks guys I am trying to use as many of the stock parts as I can I am even using the stock radiator hoses. I got every accessory, hoses, fliud lines, oil cooler, fuel tank, maf sensor, air intake w/filter box wiring and pcm with the engine/Trans and it only had 40k miles on it. It all was clean and from a obviously well maintained truck

Re: non stock L/S battery box

Re: non stock L/S battery box
Are you asking if anybody has used the donor truck battery box in the 67-72 truck? If so, not me. Sorry.
