Transmission swap
Hi all,
I have a 1967 c-10 shortbed with an inline 250 and a 4-speed granny tranny. I'm looking to change the tranny with either a 5 speed or another 4 speed without the low first gear. Can anyone tell me what kind of tranny I should be looking for? ANY info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Re: Transmission swap
The T-5 5 speed from a S-10 or Camero are the popular swaps. The o-drive gives you a good highway gear.

Re: Transmission swap
What kind of mods would I be looking at? Is that transmission compatable with the stock bellhousing and all of that?

Re: Transmission swap
I read somewhere that S10 T5's were "world class" from 94 on.
