New from Alberta
Hi from Alberta, Canada. I've got a 2002 GMC Yukon and just bought a 1980 GMC Step Side 4x4.
I've had the Yukon for a couple of years, and have put in 3" Skyjacker lift and a custom stereo. The wheels and tires are all Pro Comp; alloy 16" wheels and 33" M/Ts. I put an SLP cold air intake on, and tune the engine with an Edge programmer. When I bought it, it already had a Jardine cat back system, projector headlights, and aftermarket guage cover. It's my daily driver and is regularly used on construction sites. The 1980 GMC Step Side 4x4 looks like it has a 4" Rancho lift; likely to be replaced, a worn 350 engine, 350 trans, and the full time 4WD t-case (203?), and sits on 35" Dunlop M/Ts. I plan to replace the seals and bearing in the axles (14 & 10 bolts), and installing an SM465 with a 203/205 doubler. The 350 will have a 383 rebuilt to replace it. This looks to be a great place to find info and get ideas.
